Dvla change address on my license

We need our driving licences to drive while away. Presumably it would be okay to let the DVLA know our change of address after we get back? Hello I changed it my address One month ago but no coming back my driver license Thank you.

Hi Henry, Sorry to hear that. The DVLA are really delayed, at the moment, because of the covid backlog. They'll get back to you ASAP with your new licence. Please be aware that we're not affiliated with the DVLA. They're a government agency but we're an independent intensive driving course company. I did send my driving license for a change of address , I send by recorded diliverly in the post office on the 2rd july.

Hi Jewel, The DVLA waiting times are currently much slower than usual due to the pandemic backlog and industrial actions, so I wouldn't be too concerned with how long it's been. Hi Laszlo, If you've already sent the application to change your address, it'd be best to wait for it to come back. Sending another application for a new licence will just confuse matters and make it take even longer, I'm afraid. I imagine it will be with you soon if you've already been waiting a month.
